There Are Enough Answers In Nature:

Anxiety is a normal part of life, yet it can also be a symptom of a psychiatric disorder. Anxiety can occur with different medical conditions like hyperthyroidism. Commonly, anxiety is associated with nervousness, ‘always on edge’ or feeling ‘wired’. Anxiety may also come from insomnia, depression or result from side effects of certain drugs. To effectively combat anxiety, people often take drugs that can set the body clock backward. Natural herbs, on the other hand can provide relief if administered properly.
Natural Remedies

People suffering from anxiety are now turning to natural remedies since there are no harmful side effects, compared to traditional medications. Like any other health problem, anxiety is a disorder too, and there are natural herbs that can safely treat the problem. But changes in your lifestyle may also be needed.

Stress, the number one criteria for anxiety may come in many forms like tackling more work than you can manage, problems at home, financial insecurity, health related issues, etc. Stress brings along sleeplessness and with it anxiety and therefore most herbs for anxiety will work to help you calm stress.

Herbs for anxiety - where to find them

If you are looking for herbs that may provide you relief from anxiety, you may have to visit some specific stores that deal in natural products. You may also try Homeopathic centers for this kind of natural product. However, it is important that you don’t self medicate even though natural herbs for anxiety are not known to produce any side effects. Please note that traditional medication might give you faster results than natural herbs for anxiety. But keep at it as prescribed by the doctor and your anxiety will surely be a thing of the past.

As a remedial measure for anxiety, herbs may be consumed through tea, nourishments or pills - all depending on your preference and convenience or both. However, please keep in mind that in order to achieve the potential power of the herbs, you must not break the cycle, even if you do not see results immediately. Some herbs take time to be fully effective, once you break the cycle, you may have to start all over again.

Where can I find a doctor who will prescribe me herbs for anxiety?
I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I don't even know where to start. I don't want to go to an herb shop either. I am willing to invest in a certified alternative health care practitioner. I need the right dosage and the right product for my panic and anxiety…I do not want to order from the internet!

Try looking in the phone book or online in the area for Physicians-Holistic or at least call the herb shops and ask around for Certified Doctors that practive alternative medicine. Only other choice is to contact the local office of the American Medical Association and ask them.

You can go to the local grocery store or drug store and get SAM-e supplement. No need to go through all of that. SAM-e is natural and works! Try that. Good luck to you!

Sounds like you might need some Homeopathy and Bach Flower therapy:

    "Homeopathy and Flower Essences

Homeopathy is a system of natural healing that mines the subtle energies of natural substances. A classical homeopath chooses one remedy at a time to slowly release the subtle imbalances underlying physical disease. It is especially useful for emotional, mental and behavioral patterns that are difficult to address with standard medicine. Homeopathy can also be used at home to address daily disturbances. Although remedies are believed to be non-toxic, it is wise to restrict self-treatment to low potencies.

Edward Bach (1886-1936), a British physician, developed the first system of flower essences, now called Bach Flower Remedies, which are dilutions that are either squirted in the mouth or sipped in water. These subtle, non-toxic remedies are used primarily to address mental and emotional states. Because of their safety and simplicity of use, they are well-suited for self-help and for psychotherapy. In recent years, other systems of indigenous flower essences have been developed in the U.S. Both homeopathy and flower essences are deemed too subtle to interact adversely with prescription medicines.
