Crazy insomnia problem.?

This is a very weird and bad case of insomnia. My problem isn't getting to sleep, and it never has been. But for some reason, I'm only sleeping 4 hours now.. its been happening for over two weeks. No matter what home remedy I try, after EXACTLY four hours (It's very spooky how exact this is, folks…) I will wake up, feeling wide awake and physically impossible to fall back asleep.

What is going on in that brain of mine? Am I skipping out on one of sleep's stages, or are all my stages of sleep being condensed itno a "micro session", I do crash hard so I know the 4 hours a night is not enough, but what the hell is wrong with me?

When I wake up, my mouth is completly dry and I have a very strong need to urinate. Even though I don't drink anything before bed. I've been thinking.. possibly diabetes, I hope not, but at this point, just figuring out the cause of this would be a relief anyway. BTW, I have seen a doctor for this, and got Lunesta, and it didn't work

Benadryl - unless you have to pay to visit a doctor, as they do in some countries, you should do so. Even if you do have to pay. This MAY be symptomatic of an undiagnosed medical problem.
Note that if it is possible, a snooze, or even a relaxed period of complete inactivity, in the middle of the day - say immediately after lunch - is very beneficial to the system and helps offset some effects of a poor night's sleep. It is not a substitute for a proper nights sleep, of course. If you have a ten or fifteen minute cap-nap in the daytime and dream, then you'll KNOW that brief sleep has done you some good.
Habitually and determinedly entering a period of clearing the mind of thought prior to sleep can be beneficial too. It depends on what the problem is, obviously there is one. See a doctor though - get a full physical BEFORE you turn to the pill solution.

I used to have that problem. My doctor sent me to a dietitian. When we went over my eating habits, it was determined that I consume too much sugar drinks, juice, sodas and cappuccinos. When I cut these drinks out of my diet, a few days later I started sleeping an extra 2 to 3 hours. Hope this will help some.
