12 weeks, very uncomfortable, looking for some relief..?
I am 12 weeks pregnant this thursday.. I have 2 major complaints & am curious to see if anyone has any solutions out there.. Thanks for the feedback
- Everything I eat seems to sit in my stomach and make me completely miserable, uncomfortable, and sick.. I understand that digestion slows down but its very very uncomfortable.. my belly bulges and bloats up, i cant seem to eat anything w/o this feeling..
-I am suffering from insomnia.. Went to bed at 10ish last night only to awake at 12.. tossed and turned until about 3, finally i got up went upstairs and sat on the couch.. didnt go back to sleep until 7am- I had to call out of work today.. My back, neck, and shoulders seem to tense up and many thoughts run through my mind
I have both. I have indigestion. The food sits there and I am already showing, but after a meal I swear I look 9 months pregnant. I try to eat smaller meals and I also do not eat lots of fat or fried food. Sometimes tums helps.
Insomnia is something I have had for years - but they went away because I was so tired for the first weeks of pregnancy. Now that I am 13 weeks I have the insomnia back so I understand. Honestly, I have never been able to deal with it effectively other than Ambien - but I'm not taking that now. I try not to freak when I get insomnia because it only makes it worse - I just let myself stay up and do things that I would have done during the day but didn't get finished.
I'm sorry, hang in there. Sometimes I think pregnancy insomnia is trying to get women ready for newborn insomnia!

I have been experiencing the same thing, espeically with the insomnia! However, at 30 weeks I have yet to find any relief and it only seems to be getting worse for me. Sorry I am of no help…

Oh I had that too. It was terrible. I too slept on the couch many nights and that is what caused my tense muscles, which could be your problem too. Make sure you are only eating small meals, nothing heavy. Your tummy is having a hard time digesting this food and making room for baby. Try to eat less bloating foods too, no wheat, white breads or white rice. Stick to easy digestable foods in small portions. Dont worry, it wont be forever. You will adapt to this and see some relief soon. If persists, then contact your Dr. for help or suggestions. Good luck.

I feel uncomfortable, but it a different way… my belly hurts at night and it take so much effort just to turn sides when sleeping.. I seem to sleep ok, just running to the bathroom 3 times during the night…
yeah I seem to get bloated every time I eat anything and almost anything make me feel sick.
maybe you are just worrying at night…
Good Luck and congrats!
oh have you been able to hear the heartbeat yet?
